Can I File Bankruptcy Against My Garnishment?

Absolutely you can. Once the bankruptcy is filed, which can be in as little as one week from the first appointment, the garnishment will stop.

Per Kentucky law, a judgment creditor can garnish up to twenty five (25) percent of your gross pay check each week. Filing bankruptcy will immediately stop that.

If you are facing significant debt obligations and are considering bankruptcy, give my office a call at 859.824.3361 for a free, no obligation consultation.
